BRITAIN was warned yesterday of another big freeze this winter – with snow expected to sweep in as early as next month. Temperatures are forecast to drop to below average for the time of year over the next few months. The early onset of winter was predicted by experts at Exacta Weather. Long-range forecaster James Madden said on its website: “As we head towards winter, I expect to see the first signs of some moderate to heavy snowfalls as early as October or November in certain parts of the UK.

“I expect December, January, and February to experience below-average temperatures, with the heaviest snowfalls occurring within the time frame of November to January across many parts of the UK.” The UK and Ireland would be hit by “prolonged periods of extreme cold and snow from the Arctic regions as cold easterlies or north-easterlies develop”. Mr Madden said: “Huge swirly low-pressure systems also offer the potential for widespread disruption from heavy snowfall across many parts of the UK including the South, as they clash with the predominant cold air.”.. click above Daily Express link to read FULL report from Nathan Rao.

Is the weather to take another turn for the worst? Piers Corbyn of Weather Action has the forecast as reports suggest Britain may be hit by another wave of snow

Piers Corbyn was on SUN TALK RADIO on the 12th January 2010 [LINK] and said to John Gaunt that more snow would follow in the UK come February, John asked him to come back and here he is with the snow...

Piers Corbyn gives his UK February winter forecast to Sun Talk Radio and mentions "plenty of more snow to come", take a note of the dates and see how close he is. Piers also has a dig at the Met Office for not using his service at WeatherAction.com, as by doing so they would have to acknowledge that our climate is driven by the Sun and NOT Man.

Are we set for a long, cold Winter? by Adrian Lee

THE leaves haven’t yet fallen from the trees and the forecasters are already predicting a bleak start to winter.

After one last sunshine bonanza at the end of next week, when the mercury is set to nudge the mid-20Cs, it will be time to batten down the hatches. According to several forecasters, if you thought last year was bad you ain’t seen nothing yet. Snow by the end of October is just one of the gloomy predictions unveiled in the latest batch of attentiongrabbing long-range forecasts.

The weather is now big business, worth an estimated £500million to companies now rivalling the Met Office and playing a key role in the economy. There’s huge pressure to gaze into the future, allowing us all to make plans. In fact, some companies are now producing forecasts for the next nine months, although stressing they can only be a guide. With the British weather notoriously fickle and prone to change over a matter of hours, how on earth can the forecasters look so far ahead?

It’s done by studying a complex mix of factors, including previous conditions at any given time of year. Even now the temperature of the sea surface in the equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean will have an impact on the British winter to come. If it falls lower than normal for several months, the phenomenon is known as La Niña. The most dramatic effects are seen nearby but La Niña can have an impact on weather thousands of miles away. It influences the jet stream, an intense upper air current that helps the creation of the low pressure fronts which sweep across Britain from the Atlantic, normally bringing wet, mild weather.

THE COLDEST WINTER FOR 100 YEARS - SO WHERE ARE THE GRITTERS by Mark Reynolds: Updated with comments by Piers Corbyn

Image AttachmentBRITAIN ground to an icy halt yesterday as the nation’s gritters again failed to keep roads clear – costing the economy billions.

The big freeze saw more than half of Britons arrive late for work, and millions more stayed at home as road, rail and air networks were paralysed.

With more than 10 inches of snow in some parts and a further eight inches set to fall overnight, forecasters are predicting the worst winter for 100 years. Motoring organisations criticised the inability to get the nation moving and experts estimated the chaos could cost £1.2billion a day.

The sorry picture on the roads was replicated across the rail network and Gatwick and Edinburgh airports also remained closed with hundreds of flights cancelled.

The catastrophic failure of the authorities to deal with a snow fall that had been widely and accurately forecast came after Transport Secretary Philip Hammond promised last week that there was a “strategic stockpile” of grit.

Public Warning: Solar Climate Change from Christmas Day to the End of December
Wednesday, December 22nd 2010, 9:00 PM GMT
Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
Image AttachmentA THIRD period of "Solar Climate Change" on the UK will take place from Christmas Day to the End of December, this comes right after the first & second periods correctly predicted by WeatherAction.com & Piers Corbyn

The forecast made in November says....Snow deluges and blizzards in most of England and Wales, heaviest in East parts. Snow showers in Scotland. Sleet/rain and less cold in far West Ireland.

This "triple hit" of "Solar Climate Change" announced to WeatherAction.com users in November, means that the UK will go on to complete the "worst ever" December for High street retailers and business with the lack of essential public service due to road/rail/airport closures and again bring the country to it's knees, and with "road salt" running out fast this "third" wave will take it's toll on the "holiday" work force.

This is likely to add to one of the worst if not THE worst period of disruption in the UK to have been seen in modern times.

I will repeat what was said on the previous statement as this will still apply....

There are potential "life threatening" conditions that will be underestimated by the media (inc. Met Office).

With the aid of this forecast we hope to give some advance warning to those of you who are already suffering hardship and warn you of a very real risk of further and even bigger snow storms and blizzard conditions set for Scotland & England and Eastern Europe.

Please spread news of this forecast to all of those who are vulnerable and try to ensure that food supplies are sufficient to cope with this impending crisis.

6 Feb Snowpocalypse now usa in line with WeatherAction & MORE to come Snowpocalypse

USA now is in line with WeatherAction world warnings for Jan and Feb issued 2 Jan for Jan AND Feb to have continuing snowy/icy weather in a series of blizzards/snow deluges & ice storms. "There will be an extra hit 7/8th Feb and another major SWIP (solar weather impact period) 15-17th Feb will bring further serious snow including south usa possibly even Florida", warned Piers Corbyn of WeatherAction on 6 Feb

5 Feb EXTRA SNOW ON THE WAY - As in long range forecast

The UK Met Office & German Met Services changed or clarified forecasts today to colder and the UK MetOffice now expects snow showers in East Britain on Mon 8th/Tue 9th. This is as WeatherAction forecast in detail in mid Jan. Specifically 8th/9th is an EXTRA ACTIVITY Solar Weather Impact Period so there will be more snow than standard Met expects from a day or so ahead.

Public Warning: Solar Climate Change Extended to the 20th December
Wednesday, December 15th 2010, 11:36 AM GMT
Co2sceptic (Site Admin)
Image AttachmentThe next period of "Solar Climate Change" that will influence the UK will take place from 17th - 20th December, this comes right after the first period we announced between the 14th-16th, see also updated notes from Piers Corbyn, inc. Our next WeatherAction Weather period 17-20 Dec predicts EXTREME COLD with 'records likely to be broken'. This means a very severe ice hazard because it will be too cold for road salt to work in a lot of Central, North & NorthEast parts of the UK.

The "double hit" of Solar Climate Change that was announced to WeatherAction.com users in November simply means that the "Christmas economy" for High street retailers and business with the lack of essential public service due to road/rail/airport closures will bring the country to it's knees during the NEXT 10 days.

This is likely to be one of the worst if not THE worst period of disruption in the UK to have been seen in modern times.

I will repeat what was said on the previous statement as this will still apply....
