India: Met predicts further dip in temperature

JAIPUR: While North India was in the grip of a cold-wave, the weather in Rajasthan remained more or less unchanged. While the maximum temperature in the state capital recorded a drop of one degrees celsius, the minimum temperature rose by a degree. The eastern part of the state, however, did feel the chill and districts like Bharatpur and Dholpur woke up to a dense cover of fog. Most places across the state recorded a dip in the maximum temperature.

On Sunday, the lowest temperature was recorded to be minus 1.2 degrees Celsius in Mt Abu. Churu recorded a drop of more than 4 degrees in minimum temperature. On Saturday, it was 6.6 degrees Celsius while on Sunday it was recorded to be 2.3 degrees. Pilani, where the minimum was 4.2 degrees Celsius, the maximum was 17.9 degrees Celsius. In Jaipur, the maximum temperature was recorded to be a tolerable 21.5 degrees Celsius against 22.7 recorded on Saturday. The minimum temperature recorded is 8.7 degrees Celsius, which is one degree higher than previous day.

The MET office predicts further dip in the temperature during the next 24 hours.
